Ger Brophy, Chief Social Worker Tusla, attended the European Social Network conference in Malta during the month of May 2026. Ger spoke on the topic of how social services can more effectively recognise and respond to the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities, those who face multiple, intersecting barriers to inclusion, protection and wellbeing.
See the attached slides used here. The conference had a focus on the integration of services and leadership, keeping an emphasis on the relationships in practice in order to have a service that really delivers for the children and families that we work with.
